Senior Accountant

About the Role

Our Business Services team is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to assist them full-time. This friendly team is looking for someone who has strong technical skills. They are seeking an individual who enjoys team environments but who can also take ownership of their work and be autonomous. 

As a Senior Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for the:

• Preparation of Financial Statements for Trusts, Partnerships and Companies (including groups with multiple entities)
• Preparation of forecasts, budgets and cash flow statements
• Provision and research of taxation advice 
• Prompt and effective communication with clients through emails, phone calls and meetings
• Preparation and review of BAS's and IAS's
• Training of new graduates and/or co-workers
• Liaison with team managers for feedback or advice
• Management of personal work-flow
• Preparation of fees

Requirements for the role

• 5 years of experience within the Accounting industry (Public Practice)
• Commerce related degree
• Completion of CA/CPA qualifications
• Exposure to client groups with multiple entities
• Understanding of div 7a and CGT
• Strong problem solving and workflow planning skills
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency with accounting software
• Ability to work well within a team environment

Business Services Manager

About the Role

This Manager role provides support to 2 Partners in the delivery of client advice, client relationships, the internal management of the team and some business development activities within our current international division (with a focus on the Asia Pacific Area). This role will require someone who is a leader, who enjoys seeing members of staff develop and who is committed to growing their career.

 

As a Manager, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Managing the team workflow
  • Monitoring team productivity, WIP and budgets
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Reviewing jobs and providing feedback
  • Training staff members on an ongoing basis
  • Preparing and providing tax advice to clients
  • Completing complex compliance jobs (which may include groups with multiple entities)

 

Requirements for the role

  • 5-8 years of experience within the Accounting industry (Public Practice)
  • Experience with managing a team
  • Ability to speak professional Mandarin (as most of our clients communicate with us in Mandarin)
  • Commerce related degree
  • Completion of CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Xero (desirable)
  • Proficiency with MYOB AE

Intermediate Accountant

About Our Role

Our Business Services team is currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant to assist them full-time. This role will require someone who can learn quickly, focus and prioritise their work. A strong attention to detail is a must for this role.

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Processing of Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements for various entities
  • Preparation of BAS's and IAS's
  • Undertaking of research and the preparation of tax advice for clients
  • Assisting with training new graduates and/or co-workers
  • Liaising with the team managers for feedback or advice

 

Requirements for the role

  • 2 – 3 years of experience within the Accounting industry (Public Practice)
  • Commerce related degree
  • Current study of CA/CPA (or an interest in undergoing this)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MYOB AE (highly desirable)
  • Experience with agribusiness industry (highly desirable)
  • Experience with Xero
  • Ability to work well within a team (mandatory)
