Owen is a Business Consultant with Hanrick Curran who brings valuable debt funding, structuring, commercial sales and business acumen to our clients. Drawing on his 18 years in banking and finance Owen works with clients to formulate strategies to help them grow organically and through acquisitions. He applies this knowledge to assist the next generation in family businesses to use available funding options to smoothly transition and deliver into succession plans.
Owen enjoys working with businesses to ensure they have the right financial structures which are not unnecessarily complicated and achieve the desired results. As a trusted advisor Owen prides himself on maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
Having grown up on the land, continuing to maintain a cattle property of his own and working with rural clients throughout his career, Owen has a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of business owners in the agri sector.
Committed to his professional development, Owen is currently studying a Masters of Business in Applied Finance through QUT and has been a member of Toastmasters International for a number of years.

Owen and his partner have been based in Brisbane for the last 13+ years having worked throughout QLD prior to this. When not farming on a weekend in Mt Perry, they enjoy travelling to see new places, experiencing different cultures and meeting new people. Owen enjoys keeping fit cycling to work and has a competitive nature which comes out when taking part in adventure challenges such as Tough Mudder and running the Gold Coast 10km foot race.
Owen also enjoys the challenges of managing a 1,400ha cattle property in the Burnett Region, running a self-replacing herd with 200 Santa Cross Breeders. He prides himself on producing a quality commercial beast, sourcing Stud genetics from the local district and selling quality cattle back into the feed lot markets.
