Peter has worked in the accounting and business industry for over 30 years in Australia and overseas. He has broad business management and accounting expertise that is valued by clients across a diverse range of industries, with particular interest in hospitality and integrated tourism developments. Peter also has extensive experience in the mining industry having acted for numerous resource companies in Australia, Papua New Guinea and other jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific region.
His career began in the Australian Taxation Office and included roles in the policy and legislation division in Canberra. Prior to becoming a Partner with Hanrick Curran Peter was the founding partner of a Brisbane practice and traveled extensively as a Partner in a global accounting firm for seven years.
Peter is an active member of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce and contributes valuable business management advice to attendees in the Chamber's 2014 Strengthening Regional Business workshops.
Peter is an avid contributor to his client's strategic plans, assisting them to determine the path to improved profitability and business value then supporting them to implement the strategies through regular Board of Advice services. He has extensive corporate experience in this Board of Advice role having held executive positions on an International School Board, the University of Queensland Rugby Union Club, the Papua Club, the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and as President of the Australia / Papua New Guinea Business and Cultural Society. In 2010 Peter was elected to the Executive Committee of Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council and is the current Treasurer.

Peter and partner Annie have 5 adult children and 4 grandchildren so far. He is an active family man and whilst Peter has a hectic travel schedule splitting his time between Brisbane, Cairns and PNG he always make sure he allocates family time.
Peter enjoys swimming regularly and playing a round of golf with friends at the QHA golf days. He uses his knack for numbers at the horse track and enjoys a social bet whilst soaking up the atmosphere of major race days on the calendar in Cairns and Brisbane.
